just felt like blogging to say that i am soooo sooo proud of the guys frm galilee! they're truly gentlemen and very very patient!!! a group of them were playing street soccer near church this afternoon. And all the time, at the sidelines, there was a group of boys who kept making a whole lot of funny noises and in my opinion, distracting and disturbing our guys. I got quite irritated and I could only imagine how frustrated the guys felt. But instead of retaliating (perhaps that was what the grp of boys wanted), they were so coolll (mind you, they were playing at 3pm in the aft, where the sun was scorching)..simply concentrating on their game and ignoring whatever the grp of boys were doing..WHEE~~~!!! i am so so so proud of them. true gentlemen they were : )
thank God for a wonderful national day spent w my churchies. had field day in the morning at church..though it was more like a galilee kindergarten field day rather than a galilee church field day. A group of us then went to watch the national day parade fireworks at marina sq and i guess it was worth the wait! hehe..i really thank God for these wonderful people in my life : ) and the best thing is, i'm always reminded that these friendships will not end when our lives on this earth end, but we have an eternity tgt in Heaven! what a wonderful day that will be! i thank God also for seeing singapore thru the past 42 years. It is only thru HIs merices and grace that Singapore is prospering and peaceful today.
God has also been good to me at work. Though the working hours still remained long, but i'm really glad and thankful that He is my Sustainer and my Strength : ) i thank God for the mistakes that I had made lately at work as it only taught me to be even more prudent and careful in what i do...
thank God that my leave for dec has been approved! am now really looking fwd to sunday school camp and the chiangmai trip : ) though i really wish that Dd could be there too. Initially, i was sad and disappointed, but i thank God for the reminder that He never makes mistakes and i believe that one day, we will be able to go on a mission trip tgt ; )
i thank God also for the YAF! For each and every one of them who comes..gwyn, allvina, karen, alex, nelson, josiah and eugene...though the grp is still small and attendance isnt tt regular yet, but God has been merciful and gracious to this grp. My prayer is that everyone will find joy in coming tgt each week to study God's word and fellowshipping!
I guess this is a really random blog. However, at the end of the day, one thing remains the same. God has been faithful to me. He cares for me and provides my every need. Through good and bad days, He is Jehovah-Shammah, the God who is there.
My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
