i had a really enjoyable time last night (in a long long time)..cos i met up w my dearest dwarfs and the only 2 guy friends that i made in ntu hahahahaha. it was a great time of catching up, laughing hilariously and it made me forget ALLLLL my worries and troubles at work : ) am so glad to know that pw and han meet up for lunch quite often during a wk, and sometimes w the appearance of special guest sheila tan. i cant wait to meet them for lunch every wk now!!! haahah..
glad to know that jacq's got a job...cant wait for her to get gd stuff at staff discount for us haha..we've placed our orders alr btw hee. and of cos my dearest cindy, who's clearly having fun at the airport..she met fred perry the person himself. i didnt know who he was but pw said he's the owner of this famous brand "fred perry"..DUH! but ya, i'm so happy to know that cindy is really enjoying her work, doing what she likes and not forgetting to miss us too hee..cant wait to meet up w them again! and the next time we meet, i hope it'll be full strength : )
apart frm this, this wk hasnt been that alright for me, and it's mostly cos of work. well, i've been feeling out of place and i dont think it's normal to feel like this aft 3 wks of work. but i suppose it cant be help cos the place that i'm sitting cuts me away frm interacting w the rest of the colleagues, though this means that i have alot of privacy laa. Even though each morning, i pray and commit this worry of mine to God, it still gets the hold of me. i was really upset one night. but i really thank God for Josiah.
He told me the story of Joseph who was sold by his brothers to an officer frm the land of Egypt. He was alone but God still prospered him because Joseph lived a life that was glorifying God. Even his master could see that God was the one who made Joseph prosperous. Joseph, an Israelite eventually became the 2nd in command of the land of Egypt, with only the Pharaoh to answer to. I really thank God and Josiah for this reminder, that even as i'm alone, God can still make things turn out for good, if i put in my 100%, trust in Him and live a life that pleases Him. I was pretty ashamed of my faith which started to waiver just after 3 wks at work, unlike Joseph who trusted God completely and his faith did not waiver at all. Just like what josiah said to me, i should learn to be a joseph : ) thank you darling, for all that you've said!
Now Joseph had been brought down to Egypt, and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, the captain of the guard, an Egyptian, had bought him from the Ishmaelites who had brought him down there.
The LORD was with Joseph, and he became a successful man, and he was in the house of his Egyptian master.
His master saw that the LORD was with him and that the LORD caused all that he did to succeed in his hands.
So Joseph found favor in his sight and attended him, and he made him overseer of his house and put him in charge of all that he had.
From the time that he made him overseer in his house and over all that he had the LORD blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; the blessing of the LORD was on all that he had, in house and field.
Gen 39:1-5 (ESV)
